Owner - Dr. Heather Miles
Dr. Miles has spent her career in education with over 29 years of experience and knowledge. This provides her with the unique ability to help parents navigate the often confusing world of special education services.
Her background includes both general and special education programming, as well as interventions in both public and private schools. She has worked with students on the diploma track and alternate curriculum, from preschool through the age of 22.
She currently provides weekly one-on-one support for the development of executive functioning, social skills, and skills for success in the workplace, based on the unique needs of her clients, who range from ages nine to 45.
She has conducted over 60 assessments for Regional Center clients, ages 2 through 10, focusing on eligibility for services.
Dr. Miles conducts private pay and IEE assessments for a variety of purposes, such as identifying strengths and weaknesses in order to build intervention strategies, disability documention for College Board and access to college accommodations, personal and career growth, IQ testing for admittance qualifications
Dr. Heather Miles lives in Simi Valley with her two teenage children. In her free time she enjoys hiking, spending time with her children, playing the drums, and volunteering at the local animal shelter with the Bunny Brigade.
Operations Manager
Elizabeth Rakowski works behind the scenes to make sure our staff is supported with billing, intake, and other relevant paperwork. Her experience with executive functioning and graphic design helps keep the office running smoothly.
